A Slice of Heaven- Krabi (Thailand)

No Matter where you are traveling in this world, if you get a chance ever you must visit taste this slice of heaven called Krabi, in Thailand.

The problem we faced that not a lot of people heard or planned a trip to Krabi. Mostly if anybody is traveling to Thailand they go to Pattaya, Phuket or Bangkok, but compared to these three places, Krabi I think is little less explored.

Thanks to our friend Ravi who told us about this place when he visited this place for the first time. He called us from there and told us "you don't want to miss the sunset here and you don't need Travel insurance here." Hahaha..."He laughed!!”

And he was totally right. The moment we arrived at the Krabi airport we could feel a fresh breeze. The feeling was like when sun comes up after 2 days of rain. It was the December and the sun was gentle on the skin.

Krabi airport is not an International Airport so you have to change your flight from Bangkok International Airport. It usually takes 1 hour to reach Krabi from Bangkok .We spend quite some time waiting at Suvarnabhumi Airport also known as (New) Bangkok International Airport, is one of two international airports serving Bangkok, Thailand. The other one is Don Mueang International Airport.

Krabi Airport is one of the most beautiful and calm airport I have ever seen, one of those kind that you will immediately fall in love with it. We needed one sim card for our stay in Thailand and there was a counter right at the airport. We took one - Truemove sim card for 300 baht which had 50 baht talk time and unlimited 3G. So if you are wondering which sim card to buy in Thailand, we would highly recommend Truemove sim card.

Outside of the Krabi airport is neat and  clean. The moment we hit the highway it was a different feel altogether. I asked our cab driver ; Don, is the traffic normally like this or is this because of a Sunday?? (it was a Sunday by the way) No traffic in Krabi is very less. Very peaceful town this is he Replied.

Later he offered us show the town around and to take us to the Weekend night Market for 1000 Baht

Here is Tips No 1: If you are traveling to Krabi for the first time never agree to this cab drivers offer because you can always get an alternate cheap transport just outside of the hotel you are staying at.

Tips No 2: You can hire Two Wheeler for 250-300 baht for a day (24hr) and you can roam around anywhere you like.

So finally it took around 30 minute (25 Km) to reach our destination Hotel - Mercure Krabi Deevana from the airport. 

Overall we had amazing experience at the Krabi. We wish to come back here again!
